I’m an I.T. guy and work for a data management solutions provider. I travel for work, which I enjoy, and I love my job and the company I work for. I have an amazing family. My own family is starting soon. I’m currently engaged and we have two dogs and a cat. I’ve played music in local bands where I live and plan to play till I grow old. I love the stage and entertaining a crowd.
I bought my first home theater setup about seven years ago. I’ve always had a passion and love for music so naturally home theater goes along with the passion. I’m a logical thinker and an over analyzing person. I take this same approach with home theater. I do a lot of reading and research on surface topics as well as acoustical theory and psychoacoustics. I would be lying if I said the entire subject matter doesn’t intrigue me. I find enjoyment through just listening but really knowing and understanding how or why is what really gets me. This will be a forever hobby. In my later years as I grow old and hopefully someday retire, I plan to get into speaker building. Cabinet design, crossovers, tweeters, and cones. Till then I will research the subject as the time is just not there right now.
This blog is a way for me to share what I know and hopefully teach someone something that has similar passions along the way. Maybe meet some people with similar interests too. This is also an amazing way to pass the time in airports and on plan rides.
